The Statistics Section provides services to scientific members of all other sections with respect to:
1. Design and statistical analysis of experimental data
2. Presentation of experimental results
3. Publication of research findings
4. Development and maintenance of computer applications
5. Internet and E_mail Services
6. Training on SAS and other computer applications
In Agricultural Economics, studies are carried out in the fields of production economics,
marketing of agricultural products and rural development. Time series data are maintained
for commodity and price analyses and predictions. Studies for the harmonisation of Cyprus
agriculture with the Common Agricultural Policy of the European Union are also excecuted.
Agricultural Economics is responsible for the implementation of the Farm Accountancy Data
Network (FADN) in Cyprus.
