V.A.T. (VALUE ADDED TAX)


V.A.T. has been introduced in Cyprus on the purchase of all goods and services at the standard rate of 8%. It is not necessary for prices quoted to include V.A.T. Foodstuffs, medical products, children's clothing, children's footware, and other items of necessity are zero rated.
Bank services, newspapers, magazines, books and airfares are exempted.
