Consumer Price Index for the Month of June, 2003

The Consumer Price Index for June 2003 decreased by 0,70 units or 0,60% to 115,34 units compared to 116,04 in May 2003. This is mainly due to decreases in the prices of certain fresh fruit and vegetables, petroleum products and electricity.

2. For the period January-June 2003 the CPI recorded an increase of 4,88% compared to the corresponding period of 2002. The rate of increase of the Index for June 2003 compared to June 2002 was 4,02%.
