Registered Unemployed, June 2003
The unemployed persons, registered at the District
Labour Offices on the last day of June 2003, increased by 928 compared
with May 2003 and reached 10.897 persons or 3,3% of the labour force.
The increase of the unemployed persons from the previous month was
mainly recorded in the services sector and more specifically in the
education services and is due to unemployment registrations of teaching
and assisting staff from the educational institutions of Cyprus.
