Various Forum postings refer to the CyBC (Cyprus Broadcasting Corp.) version of an LGO Audio Lesson. After a CyBC site makeover several years ago, these versions are no longer available, so Forum links to the CyBC versions at cybc.com.cy no longer work.

Hello, I've been on the search for the audio portion of Modern Greek Grammer Notes. I can't find it and a link that was provided back in 2016 from this site doesn't appear to have it anymore. If anyone can help me out or maybe give me suggestions, that would be great. Any help will be greatly appreciated! thank you.

Wife or Woman! Which is correct please?

When I lived in Cyprus some years ago I was told by an elderly lady in the village not to use the word γυναίκα το introduce my wife (we have been married 60 years!) but instead to say
συζυγος as this was more polite and appropriate!

I have always used this since, but when I am in Greece they correct me and say γυναίκα also means wife, or woman or partner!

Which is correct please?

When I am speaking Greek I tend to say Παφου instead of Παφος for example when saying 'I used to live in Pafos'

Also in some names ending in ο

What am I doing wrong please?

Hello,

When to use j (γιορτη', γυρι'ζω...) and when to use "ch" like in σιγα', ε'ργομαι?

It's difficult to know the difference and how to pronounce it right.

Is there a way to know or just learn it the hard way?
