Consumer Price Index for the Month of June, 2000

The Consumer Price Index for June 2000 decreased by 0,56 units or 0,53% to 105,50 units compared to 106,06 in May 2000. This is mainly due to decreases in the prices of certain fresh fruit and potatoes.

2. The average rate of increase of the Index for the period January-June 2000 compared to the corresponding period of the previous year was 4,48%.

3. The average rate of increase of the Index for the last twelve months (i.e. July 1999 - June 2000) compared to the preceding twelve months (i.e. July 1998 - June 1999) was 3,18%.
