Consumer Price Index for the Month of March, 2000

The Consumer Price Index for March 2000 increased by 1,97 units or 1,91% to 105,22 units compared to 103,25 in February 2000. This is mainly due to increases in the prices of clothing, footwear and furnishing items following the end of the winter sales as well as to increases in the prices of certain fresh fruit, potatoes and cars. A decrease was recorded in the price of pork.
