INTERVIEWS
The following is a recorded interview of George Manoukas. Mr. George Manoukas
is one of the most well-known and well-respected figures in Kyrenia district by
both Greek and Turkish Cypriots. He served as head of the municipal authority of
Bella-Bais which is near Ayios Epiktitos.
With his long experience and active involvement in the political life in Kyrenia
district for many years, he successfully provides many historical information
about Ayios Epiktitos, describes the way of life, and the development of the
village throughout the years up until the barbaric Turkish invasion in 1974. He
also provides names of Turkish Cypriots and places.
Finally a strong message to the superpowers is given: to provide justice for
Cyprus because both Greek and Turkish Cypriots are victims of Turkey.
