  Well not " O sizigos"! smile "I sizigos" is perfectly fine though and that's how you should call her.

it may help you understand better if you know where the word comes from and what it means exactly:

It's from the preposition sin (συν) = together, plus
and the word (ζυγός) zigos = which in this case means "bound together" (i.e. like two cattle under a zigos -also yoke- hehe).

So O/I sizigos is the person you are bound together with.

I don't know where "spouse" comes from but it is indeed the best translation of sizigos (and vice versa) smile
