This verb has passive forms επιδιώκομαι/επιδιώχθηκα, but it looks like only third person is used. The verb has meaning "to aim to do something", that's why it would be meaningless to use it in passive form other than third person (which means something is/are aimed to be done). Examples from greek dictionary: Στη σύνταξη του νομοσχεδίου επιδιώχθηκε η συνεργασία όλων των ενδιαφερομένων. Μέσα στην Ευρωπαϊκή Ένωση μπορούν πλέον να επιδιωχθούν, ευρύτερα, λύσεις |

Thank you very much Nick, Your explanation helped me a lot. I was looking for the same conjugations as the verb «διδάσκω» and stumbled upon «επιδιώκω» for which I couldn't find the passive form. Irene |

Irene, I'm glad that my posted helped you. Regarding learning greek passive verb conjugation - it's rather tricky thing. I learnt it using a great online tutorial - http://ikindalikelanguages.com/labs/courses.php?id=58 You can also use this page - http://modern-greek-verbs.tripod.com/contents.html but it's only a reference, it doesn't explain anything. διδάσκω and επιδιώκω have the same paradigm of conjugation, you are right. |
