RealPlayer and audio lessons
by sue price - Tuesday, 29 October 2013, 11:28 AM
Hello, I have been off this course for over a year. I managed to get to lesson 29. I used to listen to the audio lesson via my RealPlayer, reduce this and be able to watch the text at the same time. Reducing the RealPlayer meant that I had control over the sound and stopping and starting. Can someone please tell me how to download the audio lessons to RealPlayer and to be able to hear the audio in reduction whilst being able to see the text at the same time. Many thanks.

My understanding is that the Audio Lessons are no longer in Real Player format; rather, they are now in HTML5 format. This means that you can no longer use Real Player to play them.

I would suggest that you use the tabbed-pages technique described in "A dumb question" in Discussion Forum 3 to view the Lesson Notes on one tabbed page while playing the Audio Lessons with the LGO embedded player on another tabbed page. The embedded player will also allow you to pause the audio, just as you could do with Real Player.
