  Do you say σημερα βραδι or do you say σημερα το βραδι?

According to the Pimsleur course the το is used with πρωι and απογευμα but is omitted with βραδι. However, today a native speaker corrected me when I said σημερα βραδι.

Does anyone know which usage is grammatically correct?

σήμερα το πρωί, σήμερα το μεσημέρι, σήμερα το απόγευμα, σήμερα το βράδυ, σήμερα τη νύχτα.
