The Telephone

My friend who is learning Greek asked me why we say:

"Se pairnw thlefwno" and not "sou pairnw thlefwno" since the call is being made TO the person (like an indirect object pronoun).

I didn't have a good answer. Does anyone? Also, am I saying it wrong? Maybe it is "sou"...I don't think so, but I could be wrong...

In fact we do say SE PAIRNW THLEFWNO, I am Greek, but I do not know why we say this to be completely honest.

Hi there its like a topic dialect from Macedonia-Salonica,
couse they are used to say "σε παιρνω τηλεφωνο" ,instead of "θα σε παρω (τωρα) τηλεφωνο".
Its just a phrase that we generally use(paraphrased).
Something like "call ya"-instead of "i'll call you back".
