Personal Pronouns

Hi there folks,

I have a question about the following sentence, if you can make it out.

Εμένα δε ξέρει ο Παύλος, όμως αυτόν τον ξέρει πολύ καλά.

Now Im trying to work this one out...

I originally thought it meant something like:
Me, I dont know Pavlos, but him, I know him very well...

But then I realised that it would then have used:

ξέρω and not ξέρει

So I now believe it means:
Pavlos doesnt know me, however he (pavlos) knows him very well...

Can someone clear this up for me and any extra info on personal pronouns would be appreciated.

Many thanks,

Kris

  The sentence should have read:

Εμένα δε με ξέρει ο Παύλος, όμως αυτόν τον ξέρει πολύ καλά.

Still trying to figure out the exact meaning caused by the pronouns.

  Hi Kris,

the sentence translates as follows..

Paul doesn't know me, but he(Paul) knows him very well.

Cheerio
