Please tell me what is the word for the decimal point in a number. e.g. 123.4 In English we would say one two three point four. How would one say this in Greek please?

If using a comma in decimal fractions (which is the norm in Greece), the comma is το κόμμα. If using a period (which is far less common), the period is η τελεία.

For a little more about this issue, see the "-- clock time update --" posting in FYI: "halves" in Discussion Forum 27. And for the names of Greek punctuation marks in general, see "Exclamation Point." in Discussion Forum 17.
